(L.A.) Serena Vancuren, 38, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Serena Vancuren.

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Alprazolam

RIP SERENA VANCUREN (January 13, 1987 – February 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:07 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
