(L.A.) Desmond Young, 46, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Desmond Young.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Toxic Effects of Quetiapine

Other Significant Conditions: Superficial Incised Wounds of the Neck

RIP DESMOND YOUNG (October 25, 1978 – February 19, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:13 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 28, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
