(L.A.) Samuel Mark II, 29, Died in Jail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male that occurred at Men’s Central Jail downtown.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Samuel Mark II. Height: 5 feet 10 inches. Weight: 260 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 4:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 3, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
