(L.A.) Salvador Esparza III, 4, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a four-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the child as Salvador Esparza III.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

RIP SALVADOR ESPARZA III (November 11, 2011 – July 6, 2016)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:19 a.m.

The toddler was shot while standing on a house porch in the 300 block of Figueroa Drive in Altadena.

He was found lying on the porch with another gunshot victim, a 27-year-old man.

According to witnesses, the suspect was chasing the adult victim outside the home when he shot at him, hitting both victims.
