(L.A.) Ryder Adams, 62, Died in a Mid-Air Collision

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian male in Lancaster.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Ryder Adams.

The decedent was the pilot of one of two vintage planes involved in a mid-air collision.
Video description: Two planes collided mid-air in Lancaster Sunday afternoon, leaving one pilot dead.
Lancaster emergency services units, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded to a report of an airplane down in the area of Avenue G and 60th Street East.
Upon arrival, officials located a small aircraft involved in a mid-air collision with a second airplane. The second airplane was found at 55th Street East and Avenue F-8. At least one of the pilots was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second pilot was transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition, according to a sheriff’s deputy at the scene.
