(L.A.) Ryan Davis, 27, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ryan Davis.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:19 p.m.
The decedent and his girlfriend Asia Boatwright were fatally injured during a vehicle pursuit of an ex-convict named Gustavo Ruelas Jr. by California Highway Patrol.
Boatwright died on the scene, while Davis was transported to a hospital where he later died.
The parents of the couple have sued the CHP alleging that “[t]he chase was conducted deliberately, recklessly and without due regard for the safety of the public.”
