(L.A.) Asia Boatwright, 22, Died at an Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Black female that occurred at an intersection.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Asia Boatwright.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Force Injuries
RIP ASIA BOATWRIGHT (March 18, 1999 – April 28, 2021)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:58 p.m.
The decedent and her boyfriend Ryan Davis were fatally injured during a vehicle chase of an ex-convict named Gustavo Ruelas Jr. by California Highway Patrol.
Boatwright died on the scene, while Davis was transported to a hospital where he later died.
The parents of the couple sued the CHP because “[t]he chase was conducted deliberately, recklessly and without due regard for the safety of the public.”
