(L.A.) Ryan Clinkunbroomer, 30, Died from a Gunshot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old White/Caucasian male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ryan Clinkunbroomer.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

RIP RYAN CLINKUNBROOMER (October 7, 1992 – September 16, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:20 p.m.

The decedent was a sheriff’s deputy who was fatally shot in his patrol vehicle as he was at a stoplight, leaving the Palmdale Sheriff Station.

A 29-year-old man was arrested Monday for the ambush shooting. The suspect was identified as Kevin Gatiano Salazar.

Clinkunbroomer was in uniform in a marked patrol car when he was shot near the intersection of Sierra highway and Avenue Q at a red light.

He was engaged to be married.
