RIP ROSEMARY FIGUEROA (November 30, 1960 – October 30, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

A retroperitoneal hematoma is an accumulation of blood in the retroperitoneal space, the deep area behind the abdominal cavity. Because this space can hold a large volume of blood without obvious external signs, the condition can be difficult to detect — a challenge that is even greater in patients on anticoagulant medication, who are at increased risk for spontaneous bleeding.
