(L.A.) Rosa Mejia, 35, Died on the 57 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in the vicinity of Diamond Bar.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Rosa Mejia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

It was at 3:14 a.m. that California Highway Patrol first heard about a gray Lexus being involved in a collision with an unknown vehicle.

Incident Location:
State Route 57 North / State Route 60 East

A SIG alert was issued with all lanes stopped on northbound 57 to eastbound 60. Law enforcement mentioned that prior to the collision, the vehicles involved were traveling at speeds over 100 mph.
