Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Rolando Rodriguez.

Cause of Death A: Complications of Small Bowel Obstruction

Cause of Death B: Abdominal Adhesions

Cause of Death C: Abdominal Hernia Status Post Surgical Repair

RIP ROLANDO RODRIGUEZ (October 16, 1952 – January 1, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:18 p.m.

It was a natural death due to complications of small bowel obstruction from postoperative abdominal adhesions, which themselves are iatrogenic in origin.
