(L.A.) Richard Malcolm, 55, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Malcolm.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Hypertrophic Heart Disease
Other Significant Conditions: Methamphetamine Effects; Obesity
RIP RICHARD MALCOLM (September 4, 1967 – October 24, 2022)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:18 a.m.
If meth hadn’t precipitated this death, it would have been ruled a natural death and not an accident. Drug deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
