(L.A.) Richard Garcia, 46, Died in a Tent

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old male that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cominbed Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP RICHARD GARCIA (October 8, 1977 – September 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Richard Garcia” in public records.
