(L.A.) Rhonda Thompson, 55, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Rhonda Thompson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Cocaine and Phencyclidine

Other Significant Condition: Obesity

RIP RHONDA THOMPSON (September 21, 1969 – October 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:16 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 14, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
