(L.A.) Ramona Lanier Otho, 66, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Ramona Lanier Otho.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Cocaine

RIP RAMONA LANIER OTHO (August 31, 1959 – September 22, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
