(L.A.) Peggy Thomas, 72, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 72-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Peggy Thomas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
