Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a driveway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Pedro Ortiz Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:10 a.m.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
