(L.A.) Oscar Santos Farela, 26, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Oscar Santos Farela.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:55 a.m.
The decedent was one of two people killed in a high-speed traffic crash on Arlington Avenue by West 29th Street. The other person who died was Luzelena Soria Rosales. Both were passengers ejected from a black BMW that was going over 100 miles an hour before hitting a UPS truck. The BMW ran a red light at 29th Street while traveling southbound on Arlington Avenue.
The driver survived and in fact attempted to make a run for it before being caught. He was the boyfriend of the young woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat.
