(L.A.) Luzelena Soria-Rosales, 18, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a street in the Jefferson Park area.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Luzelena Soria-Rosales.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:07 p.m.
The decedent was one of two people killed in a high-speed traffic crash on Arlington Avenue by West 29th Street. The other person who died was Oscar Santos Farela. Both were passengers ejected from a black BMW that was going over 100 miles an hour before hitting a UPS truck. The BMW ran a red light at 29th Street while traveling southbound on Arlington Avenue.
The driver survived and in fact attempted to make a run for it before being caught. He was the boyfriend of the young woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat.
