(L.A.) Nicolas Sotero Sanchez, 49, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Nicolas Sotero Sanchez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Multiorgan Failure

Cause of Death B: Chronic Alcohol Liver Cirrhosis

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine and Alcohol Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:18 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 3, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.

Drug and alcohol deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
