New Zealand Shooter’s 70-Page Manifesto: “The Great Replacement”
Brenton Tarrant has been identified by name as the shooter responsible for the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand.
Aside from streaming the attack on Facebook Live, he also left behind a manifesto titled “The Great Replacement.”
“It is a terrorist attack,” Tarrant wrote in a 74-page document describing his motives for the massacre, primarily hostility to mass immigration. The file’s metadata showed that it was first typed up in January and was revised once, the day before the attack he carried out.
“Just a ordinary white man, 28 years old. Born in Australia to a working class, low income family. My parents are of Scottish, Irish and English stock. I had a regular childhood, without any great issues. I had little interest in education during my schooling, barely achieving a passing grade.” He claimed he invested in “bitconnect,” used the money to travel, and added, “I am just a regular white man, from a regular family. Who decided to take a stand to ensure a future for my people.”
“To most of all show the invaders that our lands will never be their lands, our homelands are our own, and that, as long as a white man still lives, they will NEVER conquer our lands and they will never replace our people,” he wrote.
Mr. Tarrant calls himself somewhat of a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump, though only as a symbol, not a policy maker or leader. He also says he hopes to radicalize splits in American society and facilitate the breakup of the U.S. along ethnic lines.
He posted photos of bullet clips on which he had written the names of recent mass shooters, as well as historical soldiers who had won battles against overwhelming numbers of Ottomans (Moslems).
In his manifesto, he answers a series of questions that people might pose to a mass shooter. It is basically a Q and A with himself. At the beginning of the video, he says, “subscribe to Pewdipie.” At the end of the manifesto, he says, “Europa arises.”
UPDATE: The file on Scribd has been deleted. It was viewed at least 270,000 times after being uploaded by guerrilla journalist Matthew Keys.
Here is another source that discusses the manifesto in greater detail:
“It’s the birthrates. It’s the birthrates. It’s the birthrates. If there is one thing I want you to remember from these writings, its that the birthrates must change. Even if we were to deport all Non-Europeans from our lands tomorrow, the European people would still be spiraling into decay and eventual death.”
He rants about “mass immigration” in juxtaposition to European birthrates. He calls it a “crisis of mass immigration and sub-replacement fertility” and calls that “an assault on the European people.”
In another spot, the manifesto suggests killing prominent politicians: “KILL ANGELA MERKEL, KILL ERDOGAN, KILL SADIQ KHAN.”
