(L.A.) Nacrissa Ulmer, 38, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Nacrissa Ulmer. Born Nacrissa Leane Ramzy in L.A. County, California. Mother’s maiden name is Henry. Married Kevin Ulmer in 2013.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Cardiac Arrhythmia

Cause of Death B: Recent Physical Altercation

Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:52 p.m.

This is a rare case of homicide based on a victim apparently suffering a cardiac arrest after a physical fight. One media outlet reported that the decedent had actually sustained blunt-force trauma. The coroner’s report says cardiac arrhythmia was the cause of death.
