Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the girl as Myla Ortega and listed her race/ethnicity as Hispanic + White/Caucasian.

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:50 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
