(L.A.) Mohammed Tahir, 16, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teen as Mohammed Tahir and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African [sic].

Height: 5 feet 8 inches / Weight: approx. 130 pounds

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Acute Diphenhydramine Toxicity

RIP MOHAMMED TAHIR (November 8, 2008 – February 25, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 5:51 a.m.

The decedent was a missing person who left his parents’ home on February 24 at 6:00 p.m. He was last seen walking in the 15800 block of South Vermont Avenue in Gardena at around 7:00 p.m.

Gardena is a city located in the South Bay region of L.A. County.
