Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Sanford.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Klebsiella pneumoniae Sepsis

Cause of Death B: Urinary Tract Infection (Klebsiella pneumoniae)

Cause of Death C: Neurogenic Bladder

Cause of Death D: Gunshot Wound of Abdomen

Other Significant Conditions: History of Cerebral Vascular Accident, Diabetes Mellitus, Polysubstance Abuse, and Partial Lower Extremity Paralysis
