Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old male of “Middle Eastern” ethnicity that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Jabali.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Nonspecific Cardiomyopathy

RIP AHMAD MICHAEL JABALI (April 20, 1990 – September 30, 2013)

The decedent appears to be Lebanese, from Beirut, Lebanon.

A graduating senior at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), Jabali was running on the Student Recreation Center’s indoor track when he collapsed. Alongside him was a friend who promptly called for help. Firefighters arrived within minutes but the student succumbed at the hospital.
