(L.A.) Mervat Flores, 72, Ended Her Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 72-year-old female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Mervat Flores.
Manner of Death : Suicide
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Sequelae of Opiate Toxicity
Other Significant Condition: History of Stroke

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:50 a.m.
On February 11, the Department of Medical Examiner changed their initial conclusion that this was a suicide. It is now considered an an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
