Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mengesha Francis.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP MENGESHA FRANCIS (June 13, 1971 – January 1, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:34 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
