Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Mayra Oviedo Orellana.

LAPD gave the decedent’s name as Mayra Oviedo-Orrellano.

Arriving officers at the scene near the 900 block of North Banning Boulevard in Wilmington found a 43-year-old female and a 39-year-old male, both suffering from stab wounds. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene by LAFD paramedics.

A 43-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed during an attack in Wilmington that also injured a man.

LAPD responded to the 900 block of North Banning Boulevard, near Anaheim Street, shortly before 12:40 a.m. Sunday and found a man and a woman suffering from stab wounds.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Henry Briones, was taken into custody at the scene and booked on suspicion of murder. There was no immediate information on what led to the attack.
