(L.A.) Matthew Lopez, 39, Died on a Bus

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Latino male that occurred on a bus.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Ethanol Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Congestive Heart Failure, Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
