(L.A.) Martin Pacheco Luna, 22, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Latin American male who passed away in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Martin Pacheco Luna.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Alcohol Effects

RIP MARTIN PACHECO LUNA (November 6, 2000 – March 13, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:09 p.m.

By March 20, the government clerk added the “Pacheco” part to the decedent’s name.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 30, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Martin Luna” in public records.
