Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old male that occurred at his place of residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marlon Anduyan.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Left Empyema

Cause of Death B: Acute Bronchopneumonia

Cause of Death C: Covid-19

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:08 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 20. We do not know if the decedent was injected with synthetic mRNA.

Empyema is a collection of pus in the cavity between the lung and the membrane that surrounds it (pleural space). Caused by an infection that spreads from the lung and leads to an accumulation of pus in the pleural space, the infected fluid can build up to a quantity of a pint or more, which puts pressure on the lungs, causing shortness of breath and pain. Risk factors include recent lung conditions like bacterial pneumonia, lung abscess, thoracic surgery, trauma or injury to the chest.

Vaccine-Induced Interstitial Lung Disease: Case Report (Japan)
A 60-year-old man presented with dyspnea four days after the second dose of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine. Imaging revealed extensive ground-glass opacification. Blood tests were notable for elevated KL-6 levels. Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid analysis showed increased lymphocyte-dominant inflammatory cells and decreased CD4/CD8 ratio. These findings were consistent with the diagnosis of drug-induced interstitial lung disease (DIILD).
