(L.A.) Manuel Trujillo, 29, Died at Men’s Central Jail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Latino male that occurred at a prison/correctional facility.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Manuel Trujillo.

Height: 5 feet 3 inches / Weight: 178 pounds

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Hanging

RIP MANUEL ANTONIO TRUJILLO (November 29, 1996 – June 14, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent was found unresponsive inside his cell at Men’s Central Jail in downtown L.A.

He had been arrested in Lancaster on May 17 for disobeying a restraining order and in violation of probation he received for car theft in 2024. He was due to be in court on June 15. He had multiple arrests in the past, including for drug offenses.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Manuel Trujillo” in public records.
