Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Manuel Meulener.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Complications of Acute Drug Toxicity

Cause of Death B: Polysubstance Abuse with Positive Toxicology for Amphetamines and Benzodiazepines

Other Significant Condition: Underlying HIV Infection

RIP MANUEL MEULENER (January 8, 1989 – July 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
