(L.A.) Mahmoud Atashpanjeh, 60, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old “Armenian” male who passed away at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mahmoud Atashpanjeh.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfucntion

Cause of Death B: Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:47 a.m.

The decedent’s surname is Middle Eastern / Persian / Iranian. It’s possible that the reason the coroner-investigator listed him as Armenian is because he was an ethnic Armenian from Iran but that usually is reflected in the person’s name. Perhaps he was a resident of Glendale and was simply assumed to be Armenian.
