Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Luis Gaxiola.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: History of Chronic Alcohol Use

RIP LUIS GAXIOLA (September 27, 1945 – February 26, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:15 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in June. The archdiocese has indicated that the decedent may have been homeless. His surname is distinctly Mexican.
