(L.A.) Lucero Castro, 29, Died From Head Shots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Lucero Castro of Baldwin Park.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds of Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent had shot a male coworker at the California Closet Company in Huntington Beach. She fled and was later shot by police during a traffic stop in South Gate.

South Gate is a city in Los Angeles County. The city has its own police force. The investigative body overseeing this jurisdiction is LASD.

The first shooting happened in Huntington Beach, which is in Orange County. The man who was shot there is expected to survive.
