(L.A.) Lily Berkfeld, 12, Ended Her Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 12-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the person as Lily Berkfeld.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Bupropion Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 14, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
Bupropion, sold under the brand name Wellbutrin among others, is an atypical antidepressant primarily used to treat major depressive disorder.
She was an absolutely amazing person and friend for she sometimes had a little bit of trouble with school but volleyball was always her go too. It would put her mind at peace she has a loving and kind sister, mother, and grandmother who loved her she will be very missed. I loved going to school with her and knowing that I could see her at least one time before she had left. She was an amazing friend she will definitely be missed.
