(L.A.) Lihuan Wu, 47, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Asian male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lihuan Wu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent had parked his semi truck along the south curb of Pier T Avenue and exited the vehicle, standing near the engine compartment. He was hit by another semi truck which caused him to fall to the ground, upon which he was run over by his own truck.

Long Beach PD responded to the 2600 block of Pier T Avenue at around 6:40 a.m. where they found FD paramedics already attending to the victim.

The decedent’s name appears to be Chinese.
