(L.A.) Leonel Meza, 54, Died on a Bus Bench

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Latino male that occurred on a bus bench.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Leonel Meza.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP LEONEL MEZA (August 19, 1969 – February 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:12 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
