The coroner’s office has identified the man as Krhystopher Lemus. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Drowning

Formal pronouncement of death was made at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

The decedent died after he, three other people, and a dog somehow fell into the Los Angeles River in Long Beach.

Everyone else but the dog managed to pull through following rescue.
