RIP KEVIN POWELL SR. (December 10, 1976 – December 22, 2020)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 12:02 p.m.

The decedent was housed at the motel under the Project Roomkey program.

According to a negligence lawsuit filed by his estate, other residents of the motel had urged the operators of the Project Roomkey program there to do a wellness check on Powell, who was known for having epileptic seizures and had been crying and making loud noises at around 4:30 a.m. that day.

Nothing was done, however, and his lifeless body was found in his room about five hours later.
