Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred while incarcerated.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kenneth Smith.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent expired in the Triage and Treatment Area (TTA) of the state prison in Lancaster.

CCHCS reported it as a drug overdose.
