Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Kate Brooks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP KATE BROOKS (July 9, 1961 – April 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:15 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
