(L.A.) Jose Maldonado, 83, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 83-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Maldonado.

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:01 p.m.
Together with an 87-year-old woman named Daphne Maldonado, the decedent was killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened at around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Avenue T and 106th Street East.

California Highway Patrol said the two individuals were trapped in one of the vehicles.
Video of the aftermath showed a red pickup and a red sedan, both with extensive front-end damage.
The videographer said it was the occupants of the sedan who were killed. The occupant of the pickup was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
