The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Justiniano Jr.

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Morbid Obesity

Joe’s dad served in WWII with his country of birth, Portugal. His mother was the daughter of immigrants from Italy when his parents were married on “long guyland” New York. His family moved to Redondo Beach and then to San Pedro. He owned a house in Carson at the time of his passing.
