(L.A.) Jose Cervantes Garcia, 26, Died in Pomona

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Cervantes Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP JOSE CERVANTES GARCIA (August 11, 1998 – April 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:28 a.m.

The decedent was fatally hit by a vehicle in an apparent hit-and-run collision in Pomona.

Pomona PD said it happened in the area of Philadelphia and Palomares streets.

The victim appeared to have been homeless.
