Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Bustos.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Leg

RIP JOSE BUSTOS (November 4, 1989 – October 22, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:19 p.m.

The decedent was shot in an unincorporated area bordering Compton.

Sheriff’s deputies had been called for a shooting at around 7:45 pm in the 15100 block of South White Avenue, between Atlantic Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard, in East Rancho Dominguez.
