Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jonathan Santiago Gavino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Alprazolam, and Ethanol Toxicity

RIP JONATHAN SANTIAGO GAVINO (September 17, 1996 – May 13, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:43 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.
