(L.A.) Jonathan Casares, 37, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jonathan Casares.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: History of Deep Leg Vein Thrombosis

RIP JONATHAN CASARES (September 25, 1986 – August 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
